Clinton or Trump?: The Lowdown!

Hillary Clinton
36 percent of Americans polled think they would benefit more with Clinton as President; 29 percent say they would benefit more from a Trump Administration

Do you think you would be better off with Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump in the White House?

A new poll conducted by the Associated Press says Americans are more likely to think people like themselves would gain more from Mrs. Clinton being in the White House as opposed to Donald Trump. The poll says 36 percent of those polled think they would fare better under a Clinton Administration; 29 percent said they would benefit more from a Trump Administration.

Trump

Americans have mixed feelings on which presidential candidate will do better on health care, trade, the economy, terrorism and other important issues. But when they simply consider whether they personally would be better off, they prefer Democrat Hillary Clinton. The latest Associated Press-GfK poll shows that Americans are more likely to think people like themselves would benefit more from a Clinton White House than one run by Republican Donald Trump, by 36 percent to 29 percent.

Those polled say certain demographic groups would benefit with Clinton as Commander-in-Chief:   LGBT people, Hispanics,  and African Americans. Those polled think men and white people would gain more benefit with Trump.

What do you think?

That’s the Lowdown!
